Types of funerals
There are many shapes a funeral can take. Here is a brief guide to help you weigh what feels right for your family.
Direct cremation
A simple, unattended cremation. There is no formal service at the crematorium — the ashes are returned to you, and many families hold a separate gathering later. It is the most affordable option and is often chosen for its quiet simplicity.

Attended cremation
A short ceremony at the crematorium with mourners present. It can be religious, secular, or anywhere in between — led by a minister, a celebrant, or a family member.
Burial
A traditional or churchyard burial, with a graveside service. We can arrange a plot at most local cemeteries and church grounds.
Natural burial
In a natural burial ground, with a biodegradable coffin or shroud. The site becomes meadow or woodland — a quieter, greener farewell.
“There is no single right way. Whatever you choose, we will do it well.”
Bespoke services
For some families, the service itself is unique — a place that mattered, a time of day, a particular ritual. We can arrange almost anything within reason. Tell us what feels right.
