Funeral payment help
A funeral should never be denied because money is tight. There are real options — most families do not know about all of them. Here is a plain summary, and we are happy to walk through your situation.
Funeral Expenses Payment
If you receive certain benefits — including Universal Credit, Pension Credit, or Income Support — you may be able to claim a Funeral Expenses Payment from the government. It will not always cover the whole cost, but it can substantially reduce it.

Children’s Funeral Fund
For the death of a child under 18, in England, the Children’s Funeral Fund covers burial fees, cremation fees, and a contribution toward the coffin. We claim this on your behalf at no charge.
“You do not have to figure all of this out alone.”
Charitable funds
Many charities — including Turn2us, Independent Age, and SSAFA for ex-forces families — offer one-off grants for funeral costs. We can help you identify which apply.
Paying from the estate
Banks will usually release funds from the deceased’s account to pay funeral costs even before probate completes. We can give you a written quote to take to the bank.
Instalments with us
If none of the above fits, talk to us. We can break payments into instalments that work for your situation. There is never any pressure or hidden charge.
